A privately held 30 year old building material supplier located in West Palm Beach is looking for an Accounts Receivable Manager to join their team.

What You'll Be Doing:
  • Manage the daily operations of the accounts receivable department, including invoicing, collections, and cash application.
  • Oversee and review the accounts receivable aging reports and ensure timely follow-up on overdue accounts.
  • Supervise and mentor the accounts receivable team, providing training and support as needed to ensure high performance.
  • Develop and implement effective credit and collection policies to minimize financial risk.
  • Collaborate with sales, customer service, and other departments to resolve billing and payment issues.
  • Maintain accurate customer account records, ensuring all billing information is up-to-date and correct.
  • Prepare and review accounts receivable reports and financial statements for management.
  • Monitor and manage cash flow by ensuring timely payment collections and proper cash application.
  • Identify and resolve discrepancies and issues related to customer payments, billing, or credit terms.
  • Coordinate with external auditors to support the audit of accounts receivable.
  • Ensure compliance with company policies, procedures, and regulatory requirements related to accounts receivable functions.
  • Continuously analyze and improve the accounts receivable processes to enhance efficiency and accuracy.
Experience You Bring:
  • Proven experience (typically 5+ years) in accounts receivable or a similar financial management role, with at least 2 years in a supervisory or managerial capacity.
  • Strong knowledge of accounting principles and practices, with a focus on accounts receivable.
  • Proficiency in accounting software (e.g., QuickBooks, SAP, or other ERP systems) and Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, Word).
  • Strong organizational and time-management skills, with the ability to prioritize multiple tasks and meet deadlines.
  • Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal, with the ability to work collaboratively with cross-functional teams.
  • Detail-oriented with a high level of accuracy and a focus on continuous improvement.
  • Knowledge of credit management and collection best practices.
  • Ability to handle sensitive financial information with confidentiality and professionalism.
