Join our team as an Activities Director at Glen Park at Long Beach!

Glen Park at Long Beach is currently seeking a compassionate, energetic, and creative Activities Director to plan and lead meaningful programs that promote engagement, independence, and joy for our residents.

Duties and Responsibilities

1. Design and conduct activities for residents that encourage continued social functioning and independence in daily activities.
2. Ensure programs incorporate focus areas such as:

• Social Engagement: Group discussions, current events, bingo, arts and crafts, music, pet care, and more.
• Daily Living Skills: Activities promoting independence, such as walks, snacks, and outings.
• Leisure and Hobbies: Card games, bowling, movies, gardening, and resident-driven activities.
• Physical Activities: Exercises like dancing, Velcro games, and strength-building activities.
• Education: Safety presentations, travel talks, Bible studies, and continued learning.

While this list highlights primary duties, other responsibilities may be involved as needed. This is not an exhaustive list.

Minimum Qualifications

• At least 18 years of age.
• One year of related experience preferred, especially with seniors or individuals with memory impairment.
• Valid Driver's License.
• Current Basic First Aid and CPR training.
• Compassion, energy, and communication skills to work effectively with seniors, families, and staff.
• Pre-employment background checks, drug screening, employment verification, and references are required.

Location: Glen Park, 1046 E 4th St, Long Beach, CA 90802

Shift: Tuesday - Friday, 9 am - 5:30 pm; weekends may be required.

Job Type: Full-time | Pay: $21-24/hour
