Overview Location: Boston, MA Category: Adjunct Faculty Posted On: Fri Jul 12 2024 Job Description Teach Principles of Sociology courses in the Department of Behavioral Sciences under the Behavioral, Social Sciences and Global Learning Division Courses may include Principles of Sociology, Social Problems, and Juvenile Delinquency Courses may be offered at any of the BHCC campuses, satellite campuses, partner sites, or instructional sites, including but not limited to Brighton Public High School, Madison Park High School, Malden High School, PAO Center, and Freedom House. Job Requirements Master\'s degree or Ph.D. in Sociology or related field. Evidence of engagement in culturally responsive pedagogies. Experience with high impact teaching and learning practices (examples: undergraduate research, community engagement, critical pedagogies, learning communities). Proven ability to work with a diverse faculty, staff and student population. Preferred Requirements Community college teaching experience preferred. Our students come from a variety of cultural, linguistic, and socioeconomic backgrounds, and we are dedicated to providing them with the support they need to succeed. While not required, the ability to read, speak, and write in Spanish or another language is preferred.
