1. Role Overview Mercor is seeking bilingual English–Italian language experts to contribute to a translation quality review initiative with a leading AI research partner. Experts will evaluate AI-generated Italian content, ensuring translations are both accurate and reflect native fluency as spoken in Italy. This short-term, flexible project offers the opportunity to guide linguistic accuracy in cutting-edge AI systems.
2. Key Responsibilities
Review and assess Italian translations for accuracy, fluency, and contextual relevance
Identify and correct unnatural phrasing, tone issues, and mistranslations
Ensure all content aligns with how Italian is commonly used in Italy
Provide constructive feedback on language quality and localization accuracy
Maintain high reading speed and strong attention to linguistic detail
3. Ideal Qualifications
Native or near-native fluency in both Italian and English
Deep familiarity with regional language usage in Italy
1+ year of experience in translation, localization, or language review
Strong analytical and written communication skills
High attention to detail and fast reading comprehension

5. Compensation & Contract Terms
$35–40/hour depending on experience and geography
