Position Type and Location Business Teacher (0.6 FTE) – Westmont High School, Community Unit School District 201 Date Available: August 2026 (2026-2027 School Year) Closing Date: Until Filled Responsibilities Plan and instruct students on District and Illinois State Standards aligned curriculum. Communicate both verbally and in writing with parents and students on progress. Enter student grade information into appropriate databases in a timely manner. Develop lesson plans and goals that meet District expectations. Conduct and interpret formal and informal assessments to evaluate student progress, maintain records of student work, and develop intervention strategies to support student success and growth. Meet regularly with support teachers, paraprofessionals and specialists to discuss individual students’ modifications or adaptations, ongoing learning issues, interventions or problems; collaborate to ensure individual students’ needs are met by enriching or modifying lessons, curriculum, materials, and resources as needed. Participate in staff development and school improvement activities to maintain professional growth; plan and incorporate best practices or new strategies. Perform other related duties as assigned. Qualifications Appropriate teaching license in the State of Illinois. Computer science background (preferred). Compensation Salary placement is based on education and experience, pursuant to the Westmont Teachers Associations (WTA).
