Basic Functions The teacher will plan, carry out, evaluate, and supervise instructional activities in subject area for groups and individual students. The teacher will also advise students in community internships, work experience, and academic activities. Primary Duties And Responsibilities Develop curriculum to meet developmental goals and instructional activities Use procedures to post syllabus, projects/lessons, and grades to the server accessible to students, parents, and the community Maintain a classroom environment consistent with established codes of conduct and conducive to positive learning Use rubric-based authentic assessment methods to evaluate student progress and adapt individual programs to meet student needs Exercise open and respectful communication with families, co-workers, supervisors, and other school staff Measure progress and accomplishments of students towards their academic achievements on a regular basis and provide progress reports as required Communicate electronically with students, parents, and other staff members concerning student academic progress, attendance, and behavior Attend conferences and workshops in order to further advance professional development Work cooperatively with other personnel to improve instructional programs and the overall operation of the school Provide a safe, thriving, and respectful environment for all students in the classroom and on the school campus Perform other duties as assigned.
