KO Business Solutions is a professional staffing firm in the Chicagoland area that supports the hiring needs of companies across the country. Our partner in the environmental consulting industry is looking to add a CADD/GIS Technician to their team to help support field technical functions for their team.

 

Location :   Hybrid, Lisle, IL

Schedule:  M-F, 8am-5pm with some outside hours required

 

Salary :  $55,000-$65,000

 

Job-Type : Full-Time or Part-Time, Permanent 

The CADD/GIS Technician will support the creation of Environmental Figures (Drawings) or maps to support our Environmental Reporting efforts. These drawings and/or maps will be created using AutoCAD LT, ArcGIS Pro and ArcGIS Online. The environmental reports our client regularly provides CADD/GIS support for include (but is not limited to) Phase I site assessments, Phase II subsurface investigations, Site Remediation, Soil removal and classification, Underground Storage Tank (UST) reporting or removal, Geotechnical Cross sections, Stormwater pollution prevention plans (SWPPP), Spill Prevention, Control and Countermeasure (SPCC), Asbestos Abatement as well as Wetland Delineations.   Our client offers an exceptional opportunity for advancement within a growing and dynamic environment while being mentored by senior staff.

Duties and Responsibilities

• Work with in house staff to create clear and concise environmental figures/maps for their reports.
• Keep in communication with project managers and supervisors regarding progress and deadlines.
• Maintain an organized file structure to facilitate ease of use if others need access.
• Work within quality/budget/schedule expectations and scope-specific assignments.
• Create and/or maintain catalog of in-house GIS maps and applications for internal or industry use.
• Be a part of the collaborative partner in the growth and development of the CADD/GIS department.
  

 

Qualifications

• Associate's degress or Certification in Compute Aided Drafting and Design (CADD)
• Experience and familiarity with AutoCAD and ArcGIS Pro/Online.
  
• 0-2 years of professional work experience.
• Familiarity with Microsoft Office, including Excel
  
• Strong verbal and written communication skills
  
• Strong interpersonal skills
  
• Problem solving and critical thinking skills
  
• Ability to be organized, self-motivated, dependable, personable, and able to multitask and work effectively as a team player
  
• Strong technical writing skills.
