Job Specifics and Requirements:

Area: Eugene, OR

Licensure Requirements: Active OR Pharmacy Technician license

Education: High School Diploma or equivalent.

Years of Experience: 0-1 year of pharmacy experience.

Schedule: Full-Time, Rotating Schedule 

Pay: $23 per hour

Background/ Drug Requirements: Ability to pass drug screening and background check.

Order Entry Pharmacy Technician

The Pharmacy Technician position blends pharmaceutical and organizational responsibilities, and requires a professional who is highly proficient in both areas. Work closely with the Pharmacist to fill prescriptions and ensure an efficient pharmacy environment.

Job Responsibilities:

• Assist the Pharmacist in filling prescription items, as permitted by the State Board of Pharmacy.
• Type prescription information and label products appropriately, including cautionary or auxiliary labels.
• Take inventory, place orders, check in drugs and supplies, stock shelves and remove out-of-date items.
• Fill bulk products and blister packs, and stage for delivery.
• Input patient data and medication orders into the computer system.
• Prepare medications, including emulsions, liquids, powders and ointments.
• Package medications for dispensing and delivery.
• Process returned medications from the facility for credit or destruction.
• Remove and sort by work function the delivery bags, totes and equipment from return area inside pharmacy. Ensure proper dispensation of returned medication items.
• Maintain neat, clean and organized workplace at all times to avoid contamination.
• Support location and departmental goals, and overall company objectives.
• Comply with all laws, regulations and standards of ethical conduct.
