Job Summary

Our client, a leading battery energy storage developer, is looking for a Chief Financial Officer (CFO). This person will provide leadership for our client's Finance department (Capital Markets, Project Finance, FP&A, Administrative Accounting).

Responsibilities

1. Provide strategic vision and execution to drive revenue growth, profitability, and capital management in support of the growth and long-term sustainability of the company.
2. Manage and develop the finance team, conducting performance reviews.
3. Accountable for all finance and accounting activities in the organization including management reporting.
4. Oversee the Director, Project Finance's efforts to coordinate due diligence, term sheet, negotiations, and documentation with finance providers.
5. Oversee the VP, Corporate Finance's implementation and/or maintenance of management control systems for other departments.
6. Provide financial analysis and insights to guide decision-making across all areas of the business by identifying trends and opportunities for improvement and provide recommendations to the executive team.

Education & Qualifications

1. Bachelor's in Accounting or Finance.
2. MBA, MFA and/or CPA highly desirable.
3. 5+ years of successful experience as a senior level executive.
4. 10+ years in a progressively responsible financial and operational leadership role, preferably in the energy sector.
5. Capital Markets experience (including project finance, tax equity, etc.).
6. Prior experience as a CFO.
7. Project developer renewable experience.
8. New York preferred, but open to remote for the right candidate.
