Overview Employer Industry: Healthcare Services Why consider this job opportunity Opportunity for career advancement and growth within the organization Flexibility to work remotely and travel periodically to practices Engage in impactful education and training to improve clinical documentation and coding accuracy Collaborative work environment with a focus on continuous improvement Competitive salary based on experience and qualifications What to Expect (Job Responsibilities) Perform chart reviews to identify opportunities for better accuracy in clinical documentation and coding Work directly with practices and providers on continuous improvement of documentation and diagnosis coding Facilitate communication regarding documentation and coding best practices among key stakeholders Deliver education and training on clinical documentation and diagnosis coding to support value-based contracts Develop and implement action plans to enhance the completeness and accuracy of clinical documentation and coding What is Required (Qualifications) Bachelor’s degree in a healthcare-related field or equivalent work experience Current certification as a Certified Professional Coder (CPC) or equivalent Certification as a Certified Documentation Expert Outpatient (CDEO®) or Certified Clinical Documentation Specialist-Outpatient (CCDS-O) Minimum of 3 years of recent, relevant work experience in Clinical Documentation Integrity (CDI) or 5+ years as a risk adjustment auditor Thorough understanding of medical coding guidelines, regulations, and the impact of diagnosis documentation on risk adjustment payment models How to Stand Out (Preferred Qualifications) Successful track record in outpatient coding and billing Strong understanding of value-based care principles related to clinical documentation and coding Excellent communication skills to articulate documentation impact to practices and staff Ability to work collaboratively across clinical and non-clinical teams References demonstrating a high degree of integrity and professional accountability #HealthcareServices #ClinicalDocumentation #RemoteWork #CareerOpportunity #EducationAndTraining We prioritize candidate privacy and champion equal-employment opportunity.
