Job Title: Cloud Engineer

Location: Onsite at Warner Robins AFB, GA

Pay Range : Up to $110,000 / year depending on experience

**Must be authorized to work in the United States now, and in the future, without assistance

We are seeking a skilled and experienced Cloud Engineer to join our team onsite at Warner Robins Air Force Base (AFB), GA. This role is crucial in designing, implementing, and managing cloud solutions that support mission-critical operations in a secure defense environment.

Job Description:

The Cloud Engineer will be responsible for developing and maintaining cloud infrastructure, ensuring the optimal performance, security, and scalability of cloud-based systems. You will collaborate with various teams to deliver robust cloud solutions that meet the needs of our defense clients.

Responsibilities:

• Design, deploy, and manage cloud infrastructure and services (e.g., AWS, Azure, Google Cloud).
• Implement and maintain cloud security measures to protect data and applications.
• Monitor cloud system performance, troubleshoot issues, and optimize resources for cost and efficiency.
• Collaborate with development, operations, and security teams to integrate and support cloud solutions.
• Automate cloud infrastructure management tasks using tools and scripting languages (e.g., Terraform, Ansible).
• Ensure compliance with relevant security standards and regulations.
• Provide technical guidance and support to team members and stakeholders.
• Maintain comprehensive documentation of cloud configurations, processes, and procedures.
• Stay current with emerging cloud technologies, trends, and best practices to drive continuous improvement.

Requirements:

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field (or equivalent experience).
• Minimum of 5 years of experience in cloud engineering or a related field.
• Proficiency in cloud platforms such as AWS, Azure, or Google Cloud.
• Strong understanding of cloud architecture, services, and best practices.
• Experience with cloud security and compliance frameworks.
• Knowledge of infrastructure-as-code (IaC) tools (e.g., Terraform, CloudFormation).
• Familiarity with containerization and orchestration technologies (e.g., Docker, Kubernetes).
• Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
• Effective communication and collaboration abilities.
• Ability to obtain and maintain security clearance as required by the location and nature of the work.
• Relevant certifications (e.g., AWS Certified Solutions Architect, Microsoft Certified: Azure Solutions Architect) are highly desirable.

Preferred Qualifications:

• Master’s degree in Computer Science or related field.
• Prior experience working in a military or defense environment.
• Experience with DevOps practices and tools (e.g., CI/CD pipelines).
• Knowledge of hybrid cloud environments and multi-cloud strategies.
