Job Brief: We are seeking a skilled  Low Voltage Cable Technician to join our team. The Low Voltage Cable Technician is responsible for designing, installing, and maintaining low-voltage cabling systems. These systems typically operate at less than 50 volts and include alarm systems, security systems, fiber optic cables, and CAT 5 wiring. The role involves intricate work, such as cable testing, pulling cable, and configuring demarcation extensions to ensure seamless connectivity and data transmission.

Duties and Responsibilities:

• Analyze blueprints and schematics to connect cables safely and accurately.
• Install and connect various types of wires and cables for low-voltage electronic systems.
• Run and connect wiring and cables according to project requirements.
• Use blueprints and other guides to configure the wiring layout.
• Organize and label cable lines for efficient maintenance and troubleshooting.
• Test and troubleshoot various low-voltage systems.
• Perform routine maintenance on low-voltage electronics.
• Instruct clients on how to use the installed systems.
• Document work performed on each project.

Qualifications:

• Proficiency in cable installation, termination, and splicing techniques.
• Knowledge of low-voltage systems, including alarm and security systems.
• Ability to work in various locations (homes, schools, businesses) and adapt to different project requirements.
• Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
