Mail Courier Services

BMT, a Service-Disabled Veteran Owned Small Business (SDVOSB), is seeking qualified medical drivers for courier service to pick up and deliver time sensitive documents and packages from a government agency on a scheduled routine route for a long-term contract. There will be Laboratory and Pharmacy pickups delivering medical specimens and packages for the Laboratory. Individuals are responsible for customer interaction as they issue and receive receipts of confirmation from customers to verify transfer of goods. Encouraging retirees and veterans as well as.

Qualifications

• Position requires a high school diploma/general equivalency diploma.
• Laboratory Courier may require 0-1 year of general work experience.
• Possesses a moderate understanding of general aspects of the job is preferred.
• Applicants must have and be able to maintain a valid driver's license and a clean driving record.
• Must have clean criminal background and be able to successfully pass the company and government clearance process.
• Must be drug and alcohol free.
• Must be able to lift 35-50 pounds.
• Good sense of directions.
• Must be able to communicate effectively in person and by phone.

Responsibilities:

• Pick up bio-hazard coolers and deliver packages on designated routes and schedules.
• Pharmacy and Warehouse pick-ups as well as the supply of the Lab supplies for specimens
• Provide a vehicle or furnish a vehicle to complete route.
• Maintain official record of delivery tickets and daily work log.
• Interact with government personnel and represent company in a professional manner.
• Participate in ongoing training.
• Other duties as assigned.
