Data Analyst - Dynamics NAV - Montclair, NJ - $95k

Our client is a manufacturing company in a rapid growth mode that is looking for a Data Analyst to help better leverage reporting tools in order to forecast future demand and opportunities for expansion within the business.

This role requires a strong background in data analysis, advanced Excel skills, and proficiency in Jet Reports, Power BI, and SQL. The ideal candidate will also have accounting experience to support financial reporting and analysis within our Dynamics NAV system.

Your New Role Will Involve:

* Extract, analyze, and interpret data from Dynamics NAV to produce detailed financial and operational reports.

* Develop and maintain reports using Jet Reports and Power BI, presenting clear insights into key performance indicators and financial metrics.

* Manage and create complex Excel spreadsheets for in-depth analysis and reporting.

* Write and optimize SQL queries to extract and manipulate data from the Dynamics NAV database.

* Collaborate with IT and database administrators to ensure data accuracy and integrity.

* Analyze financial data, identify trends, and provide insights to support budgeting, forecasting, and financial planning.

* Ensure financial reporting and analysis comply with accounting standards and company policies.

* Design and implement interactive dashboards and reports in Power BI to aid in decision-making.

* Communicate data findings and recommendations to management and other stakeholders.

* Collaborate with Dynamics NAV users to troubleshoot issues and optimize the system for data reporting and analysis.

* Provide training and support on data analysis tools and techniques.

* Document data processes, reporting templates, and best practices.

What You'll Need:

* Advanced proficiency in Excel, including complex functions and pivot tables.

* Expertise in Jet Reports and Power BI.

* Strong SQL skills for data querying and manipulation.

* Experience with Dynamics NAV or similar ERP systems is highly desirable.

* 3+ years in data analysis with a focus on ERP systems, particularly Dynamics NAV.

* Demonstrated experience in accounting or financial analysis.
