The Data Engineer plays a pivotal role in driving data-centric decision making
You'll collaborate with various business units to translate needs into actionable data strategies
Your responsibilities include designing and implementing data pipelines, crafting automated reporting tools, and generating valuable insights.



Here's what you'll be doing:

• Bridging the gap between business needs and data solutions through close collaboration
  
• Designing and managing a robust data warehouse infrastructure
  
• Implementing a user-friendly business intelligence (BI) front-end
  
• Championing SQL expertise within the team
  
• Leveraging SQL and relevant analytical tools to gather, clean, and prepare data
  Building dashboards/reports, developing KPIs, analyzing trends, and unlocking data-driven insights
  
  
• Ensuring optimal data pipeline architecture is maintained
  
• Assembling and managing complex datasets aligning with business requirements
  

Here's what our ideal candidate has:

• Bachelor's degree (or equivalent experience) from an accredited institution
  
• Minimum five years of proven experience in similar data engineering roles
  
• Advanced proficiency in SQL and experience working with relational databases
  
• Proven track record in building and optimizing data pipelines, architectures, and datasets
  
• Experience establishing processes for data transformation, data structures, metadata, dependency, and workload management
  
• Experience with BI tools for report and dashboard creation, preferably within retail or similar industry
  
• Experience with DTC (Direct to Customer) reporting metrics like Inventory, Sales, Lifetime Value, etc
  
• Familiarity with cloud-based data warehousing technologies
  
• Understanding of automation, workflow, and data flow concepts
  
• Excellent communication, written, and documentation skills
  
• Strong problem-solving abilities with a self-directed approach
  
• Meticulous attention to detail and a commitment to accuracy
