Job Summary
We are seeking a detail-oriented, organized, and dependable DMV Title Clerk to join our dealership team! This individual will be responsible for ensuring all vehicle sales are processed accurately and in compliance with state and federal regulations. You will also be responsible for verifying ownership and completing title transfers. The ideal candidate will work closely with internal departments, external lenders, and government agencies to manage vehicle titling and registration from start to finish. This role often involves maintaining accurate records, providing customer service, and staying updated on DMV regulations.
Responsibilities
Answer phones, assist customers with questions, and direct calls
Process incoming paperwork, make photocopies, and file paperwork
Sort mail and distribute it to the appropriate places
Maintain records, either physical or electronic, of business transactions
Process all funding with lenders, ensuring timely and accurate submissions
Prepare and process post-sale documentation, including title and registration paperwork
Serve as liason and administrative assistant to the sales department
Track titles and ensure timely receipt and distribution
Communicate regularly with the DMV and financial institutions
Coordinate with various counties to manage tax hold payments
Complete and submit paperwork for out-of-state vehicle sales
Verify and process funding for checks received from outsourced lenders and banks during sales
Collaborate closely with our DMV Specialist and third-party titling service provider
Calculate and process out-the-door pricing for vehicle purchases
Qualifications

Strong organizational and time management skills
Familiarity with computer programs such as Microsoft Office, Google Workspace and Adobe software
