Job Description
An enrolled agent (EA) is a tax professional authorized by the United States government to represent taxpayers in matters regarding the Internal Revenue Service (IRS). EAs must pass an examination or have sufficient experience as an IRS employee and pass a background check.
Job responsibilities:
In house independent contractor
Salaried position to an Independent Contractor with commissions based on volume and quality.
35% to start with a potential of 40%.
Monday through Friday with the ability to work on weekends during peak season.
Qualifications
Enrolled Agent Certification is required 5+ years’ experience
Strong Knowledge of tax accounting principles and practices
Proficiency in using accounting software and tools for account analysis and reconciliation
(Quickbooks Desktop, and Quickbooks Online)
Excellent attention to detail and strong analytical skills
Experience in Asset Management or financial planning is a plus but not required.
Responsibilities
Prepare and review tax returns for businesses (1120, 1120C, 1120F, 1120S, 1065, 1041)
Conduct thorough tax research and stay up to date with tax laws and regulations
Assist clients with tax audits and represent them before the IRS if necessary
Perform account reconciliation and analysis to ensure the accuracy of financial records
Collaborate with clients’ accountants or bookkeepers to ensure seamless integration of tax
strategies with overall financial management.
