Job Overview

We are seeking a reliable and motivated FedEx Delivery Driver to join our team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for transporting large and small packages to various locations while ensuring timely and safe delivery. This role requires a strong commitment to customer service and the ability to handle heavy lifting as needed. The Delivery Driver will operate a box truck and may also utilize a dolly during the delivery process. FELONIES WILL NOT PASS A BACKGROUND CHECK

Responsibilities

• Safely operate a box truck to deliver packages to designated locations.
• Load and unload small, large and heavy packages from the vehicle, ensuring proper handling procedures..
• Perform pre-trip and post-trip inspections on the vehicle to ensure safety and compliance.
• Maintain accurate delivery records and logs, including mileage and delivery times.
• Provide excellent customer service by communicating effectively with clients during deliveries.
• Assist in warehouse operations as needed, including inventory management and organization.
• Handle heavy lifting of packages, ensuring proper techniques are used to avoid injury.
• Collaborate with team members to optimize delivery routes and schedules.
• From time to time to help other drivers deliver packages as requested.
• Must have reliable transportation to and from work
• Have reliable mobile phone
• Have reliable working audio headset for communication with route managers

Skills

• Ability to drive various types of vehicles, particularly box trucks.
• Strong customer service skills with the ability to interact positively with clients.
• Capability to perform heavy lifting tasks safely and efficiently.
• Excellent time management skills with the ability to prioritize tasks effectively.
• Attention to detail in handling deliveries and maintaining accurate records.
• Have the ability to manage and follow GPS coordinates.
• Have the flexibility on route and destination variances
• Be able to manage time sensitive delivery and pick up stops
• Once trained to follow procedures and processes in all aspects of being a successful FedEx delivery driver
• Have the ability to do effective organization of packages in your trucks
• Time keeping is essential
