Fire Sprinkler Designers – Austin, TX

An established and growing fire protection contractor in Austin, TX is seeking two experienced Fire Sprinkler Designers to join their team. This is a great opportunity to be part of a collaborative, fast-paced, and supportive environment working on high-profile, long-term projects.

Position Details

• Title: Fire Sprinkler Designer (2 openings)
• Location: Austin, TX
• Compensation: $60,000 – $135,000 annually ($30–$50/hr DOE)

Projects You’ll Work On

You’ll have the opportunity to contribute to major commercial and institutional projects across Central Texas, including:

• Large-scale airport developments (prevailing wage projects)
• University and educational facilities
• High-end mixed-use and commercial builds
• Long-term construction projects (typically 12+ months)

What They’re Looking For

• Active NICET Level III or RME-G License (required)
• 4+ years of fire sprinkler system design and engineering experience
• Strong leadership and project management skills
• Proficiency in design software such as HydraCAD, HydraCALC, SprinkCAD, AutoSPRINK, or Revit
• Solid understanding of NFPA standards, fire protection codes, and hydraulic calculations
• Excellent communication, attention to detail, and problem-solving skills
• Ability to collaborate across teams and occasionally travel between offices
