Leidos is seeking a talented Full Stack Web Developer to join our team. In this group, you will work in a multidisciplinary team consisting of aerospace engineers, computer scientists, research scientists, and statisticians. Our team applies engineering and machine learning concepts to solve complex and highly technical problems on a variety of aerospace and defense applications. Accompanying this, we develop software applications that enable real-world operators to leverage our engineering solutions. The desktop and web-based applications directly serve to improve operator workflow and enhance their ability to perform mission critical tasking during stressful and strenuous real-time operations.

This position will directly augment the current team of application developers. Your skills will be used to further the development of existing software applications as well as pioneer new web-based applications to support growing programmatic demands. The responsibilities of this role include the design and continued development of new and existing user-facing applications leveraging common front-end frameworks such as View.js. Additionally, this role will build and maintain back-end services to facilitate communication with our proprietary decision-making framework that serves as the central hub for engineering solutions.

Basic Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or related field from an accredited college or university.
• Bachelor’s degree with 3 to 10 years of relevant experience in web development and programming.
• Proficiency in front-end technologies such as HTML5, CSS3, JavaScript, and popular frameworks like React, Angular, or Vue.js.
• Proficient with source control technologies (Git, Gitlab)
• Hands on experience setting up and maintaining CICD pipelines
• Working knowledge of containerization (Docker, Podman) and container orchestration (Kubernetes).
• Understanding of TCP/IP networking and working knowledge of remote system workflows (SSH, port forwarding, server/client architecture, etc)
• Proficiency in user interface (UI) and user experience (UX) principles, with attention to usability and visual appeal.
• Hands-on experience with front-end web frameworks (e.g., View.js, Angular, React) and backend services (e.g., RESTful API development with Python Flask).
• Highly proficient with Python and modern programming best practices.
• Keen attention to detail and overall design.
• Experience developing in a Linux environment.
• Solid technical communication skills and an ability to work in both collaborative team environments and independently.

Security Clearance Qualifications

• Must be a U.S. Citizen with the ability to obtain and maintain a Secret Security Clearance.

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience unit testing frameworks (e.g., pytest, vitest) is strongly desired.
• Master’s degree is strongly desirable but not required.
• Active security clearance is desirable but not required.
