About the Job:

  • Manage relationships with contract manufacturers and suppliers, spanning engagements from OEM, ODM, JDM to CM.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to forecast demand, plan inventory levels, and ensure timely delivery of materials and components to support production schedules.
  • Evaluate and qualify suppliers based on performance, quality, cost, reliability, and sustainability criteria.
  • Negotiate pricing, terms, and agreements with suppliers to achieve cost savings targets and ensure competitive pricing.
  • Monitor supplier performance and address any issues or concerns related to quality, delivery, or service levels.
  • Drive continuous improvement initiatives to streamline processes, reduce lead times, and enhance supply chain efficiency.
  • Manage supplier relationships and serve as the primary point of contact for key suppliers, fostering collaborative partnerships to drive mutual success.
  • Stay informed about market trends, industry developments, and regulatory requirements that may impact supply chain operations.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in Supply Chain Management, Business Administration, Engineering, or related field.
  • Experience procuring materials for batteries and high voltage power electronics with a focus on grid scale energy storage systems is preferred.
  • At least 8 to 10 years of experience in supply chain management, strategic sourcing, or procurement roles, preferably in a global manufacturing or technology company.
  • Demonstrated experience establishing successful partnerships with contract manufacturers.
  • Proven track record of successfully managing global supply chain operations, including strategic sourcing, supplier management, and inventory optimization.
  • Strong negotiation skills and experience negotiating contracts and pricing agreements with suppliers.
  • Excellent analytical and problem-solving abilities, with a data-driven approach to decision-making.
  • Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced, dynamic environment with changing priorities and tight deadlines.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build and maintain strong relationships with internal stakeholders and external partners.
  • Proficiency in supply chain management software and tools, procurement platforms, and analytics tools.
