Posting Context Statement Position Overview This position will serve as a specialized graphic designer to create online instructional content and Web content in a variety of mediums including online courses, digital publications, program home pages, videos, and social media posts. This position will work with distance educators and faculty to design and develop online courses that will engage learners and accomplish key learning goals. This incumbent will manage multiple projects simultaneously, set a work schedule, and modify priorities on the fly and provide visual creative on-brand design solutions, adhere to creative strategy timelines on project briefs, gather and implement feedback and input, and execute technical requirements. This position will require interpretation of regulations and assess institutional risk, product effectiveness, and user experience and impact associated with decisions on different technical implementations.

Required Experience - Two years working in the design field to include: designing for Print, Web and Digital including demonstrating an understanding of HTML and CSS
- Experience designing with Adobe InDesign, Photoshop and Illustrator or similar platforms
- Experience in customer service skills, organizational skills and decision-making skills
- Experience creating online instructional content
Required Education - Bachelor's degree in graphic design, instructional media design or virtual technology and design; four additional years of experience (for a total of six years) may substitute for a Bachelor's Degree
Required Other Additional Preferred - Masters degree in instructional design, educational technology, online learning and pedagogy or related field, coupled with documented experience as a designer of online courses
- Ability to make independent judgements regarding work schedules, priorities, assessment and design decisions
- Good attention to detail
- Basic video editing capabilities
- Experience and ability to learn Adobe Captivate
- Experience with motion graphics and HTML
- Experience in higher education
