Debt Advisory Associate

Location : New York

About the Firm : We are partnered with a boutique debt advisory firm whose practice operates across the US, assisting sponsors and private businesses in accessing debt markets. We specialize in various security types, including senior, unitranche, mezzanine debt facilities, and preferred equity securities, supporting leveraged buy-outs, refinancings, and balance sheet recapitalizations. The consistent transaction volume keeps the firm updated on the best market pricing and terms, and the firm's strong relationships with active mid-market lenders enable them to quickly source and negotiate credit facilities tailored to their client's needs.

Position Overview : Our client is seeking an experienced Analyst or Associate to join our growing Debt Advisory practice. This position is an immediate hire. Analysts and Associates are active contributors during every phase of the deal process and are expected to assume significant responsibility on transaction teams.

Key Responsibilities :

• Prepare marketing and pitch materials to support new business origination.
• Create descriptive marketing memoranda.
• Develop and review three-statement financial models.
• Support transaction execution.

Qualifications and Requirements :

• 2-5 years of underwriting, leveraged finance, debt capital markets, capital or debt advisory, or structuring experience, preferably in the middle market.
• Ability to thrive under pressure in a rigorous, fast-paced environment.
• Ability to prioritize tasks, work on multiple engagements, and manage rapidly changing assignments in a team environment.
• Positive attitude and desire to learn and grow as a professional.
• Proven track record of exceptional performance in current role.
• Strong analytical, research, quantitative, and writing skills.
• Robust accounting acumen; financial modeling experience is required.
