SUMMARY

The IT Infrastructure Engineer is responsible for the design, management, and optimization of the banks IT infrastructure, ensuring high availability, security, and performance. The role focuses on Windows Domain & Active Directory, Nutanix HCI on Dell Infrastructure, Cisco Networking & Security, Fortinet Networking & Security, Palo Alto Security, 8x8 VOIP systems, Cohesity backup solutions, Microsoft SQL Server, Microsoft M365, and Azure cloud services. This position requires experience in engineering and maintaining high availability environments in compliance with banking regulatory standards.

This IT Infrastructure Engineer position will work at the First Fidelity Bank corporate office and is not a remote position.

PRIMARY DUTIES/RESPONSIBILITIES:

Windows Domain & Active Directory Management:

Manage and maintain Active Directory (AD) services, including Group Policy Objects (GPOs), DNS, DHCP, and AD-integrated applications.
Implement security best practices for AD, including multi-factor authentication (MFA) and Privileged Access Management (PAM).
Conduct audits, health checks, and enhancements to optimize AD performance and ensure regulatory compliance.

Nutanix HCI on Dell Infrastructure:

Administer Nutanix Hyper-Converged Infrastructure (HCI) for high availability and performance.
Perform upgrades, manage capacity planning, and troubleshoot hardware/software issues.
Collaborate with vendors and internal teams to ensure continuous uptime and system stability.

Cisco, Fortinet & Palo Alto Networking & Security:

Administer Cisco networking devices, including routers, switches (e.g., Nexus), and Meraki systems for secure network management.
Configure and manage Fortinet firewalls for branch communications, SSL VPN, and secure network segmentation.
Implement and maintain Palo Alto firewalls, ensuring compliance with advanced security features such as IPS, threat detection, and SSL inspection.

8x8 VOIP Administration:

Manage the 8x8 VOIP system, ensuring consistent availability and integration with other systems.
Configure voice network security measures and troubleshoot call quality issues.
Provide support for end-users and optimize the VOIP infrastructure to meet business communication needs.
Cohesity Backup Solutions:
Manage and maintain Cohesity backup infrastructure, ensuring comprehensive data protection and recovery capabilities.
Optimize backup schedules, conduct regular recovery testing, and ensure data integrity.
Align backup strategies with business continuity plans and compliance requirements.

Microsoft SQL Server Administration:

Administer SQL Server environments, focusing on high availability, backup/recovery solutions, and performance optimization.
Implement disaster recovery solutions such as Always On Availability Groups.
Collaborate with application development teams for database architecture, optimization, and security management.

Microsoft M365 & Azure Cloud Services:

Manage Microsoft M365 services, including Exchange, Teams, SharePoint, and OneDrive, ensuring secure and compliant usage.
Administer Azure cloud resources, including virtual machines, networking, and security configurations.
Integrate security and compliance policies in M365 and Azure to meet banking standards.

Infrastructure Monitoring & Compliance:

Implement monitoring solutions to ensure uptime, performance, and security of IT systems.
Maintain compliance with banking regulations (GLBA, PCI-DSS, FFIEC) and industry best practices.
Develop, document, and maintain disaster recovery plans, SOPs, and infrastructure diagrams.

Performs other duties as assigned. Regular and reliable attendance is a requirement of the job.

QUALIFICATIONS

EDUCATION REQUIREMENTS:

Bachelor's degree in IT, Computer Science, or related field, or 3+ years of experience in IT infrastructure management, preferably within banking or financial services.

EXPERIENCE REQUIREMENTS:

5+ years of experience in IT infrastructure management, preferably within the banking or financial services industry.
Proven experience with Windows Domain & Active Directory, Nutanix HCI, Cisco, Fortinet, Palo Alto, Cohesity, 8x8 VOIP systems, Microsoft SQL Server, Microsoft M365, and Azure cloud services.
Demonstrated expertise in high availability engineering and disaster recovery planning.
Relevant certifications such as MCSE, Nutanix Certified Professional, Cisco CCNA/CCNP, Fortinet NSE, Palo Alto PCNSE, or Microsoft Azure Administrator are highly preferred.

OTHER REQUIREMENTS (KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS, ABILITIES, CHARACTERISTICS):

In-depth understanding of enterprise networking, firewalls, backup solutions, and VOIP systems.
Familiarity with regulatory compliance requirements (GLBA, PCI-DSS, FFIEC) in the banking industry.
Must have quality customer service skills, a strong work ethic, and is a team player with the ability to work well independently as well as within teams.
Highly motivated. Must be able to work effectively with minimal oversight and supervision, but with the ability to keep management informed.
Effective communication skills, both orally in writing. Must be able to explain technical information in an easy-to-understand fashion to end users. Must be able to effectively communicate within the IT team, as well as with all levels in the organization and outside vendors.
Must possess excellent organization and project management skills, with the ability to prioritize and work on multiple projects at once. Must be able to work effectively in a fast-paced, changing environment.
