Job Summary

We are seeking a skilled and experienced Journeyman/Journeywoman Pipefitter to join our team. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in various welding techniques, pipe fitting, and construction practices. This role requires the ability to read blueprints and schematics, perform mechanical tasks, and work effectively in a construction or manufacturing environment. The Journeyman/Journeywoman Pipefitter will be responsible for installing, repairing, and maintaining piping systems in accordance with industry standards.

Responsibilities

  • Install, repair, and maintain piping systems for various applications including HVAC and plumbing.
  • Perform MIG, FCAW, and TIG welding as required for different projects.
  • Read and interpret blueprints and schematics to determine project specifications.
  • Utilize hand tools, power tools, and equipment for pipe threading, soldering, tube bending, and assembly tasks.
  • Conduct rigging operations safely to move heavy materials as needed on construction sites.
  • Ensure compliance with ASME codes & standards during all installations and repairs.
  • Collaborate with other tradespeople on construction sites to ensure project completion.
  • Maintain a clean and organized work area while adhering to safety protocols.
  • Troubleshoot mechanical issues related to piping systems and provide effective solutions.

Qualifications

  • Proven experience as a Pipefitter with a strong understanding of welding techniques including MIG, FCAW, TIG, and fire sprinkler fitting.
  • Familiarity with construction site practices and safety regulations.
  • Proficient in reading blueprints, schematics, and technical drawings.
  • Strong mechanical knowledge with experience using calipers and other measuring tools.
  • Ability to perform basic math calculations related to measurements and material requirements.
  • Experience in maintenance tasks related to plumbing or pipeline systems is preferred.
  • Excellent problem-solving skills with the ability to work independently or as part of a team.
