Job Title: Library Assistant

Location: Houston, TX 77004

Duration: 03 Months (Possible extension)

Job Insight:

• We are seeking dependable and detail-oriented Library Assistants to support a large-scale stacks reorganization project.
• This role primarily involves the physical movement, shelving, and organization of library materials.
• Candidates should be comfortable with physical work, including lifting, pushing, and pulling carts of books.
• No prior library experience is required, though an organized and attentive approach is highly valued.

Responsibilities:

• Move, sort, and reshelve books and library materials according to established systems.
• Push, pull, and maneuver book carts that may be heavy.
• Ensure accuracy in shelving order and organization of stacks.
• Maintain a clean and safe work environment in assigned areas.
• Follow directions and work independently or as part of a team to complete tasks efficiently.

Qualifications:

• No prior knowledge or expertise required.
• Ability to perform physical labor, including lifting, bending, and moving carts of books.
• Strong attention to detail and organizational skills a plus.
• Reliability and punctuality.
