Position Overview

We are seeking a dependable, motivated Medical Assistant (MA) or Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) to join our wound care team in a hybrid role. This unique position combines clinical fieldwork (assisting providers during home visits) with in-office support, including patient intake and front desk responsibilities.

This is an excellent opportunity for a compassionate, hands-on clinician who enjoys variety, autonomy, and working closely with patients and providers.

What You’ll Do

Field Responsibilities (Home Visits)

• Accompany provider to patient homes and assist with wound care visits.
• Provide direct patient support including positioning, assisting with dressing removal and application, wound preparation, and setup.
• Drive provider safely to and from patient visits following company travel policies.
• Ensure infection control standards and universal precautions are maintained at all times.
• Prepare and organize medical supplies and assist with documentation and wound photography.

Office Responsibilities

• Perform front desk duties such as greeting patients, answering calls, and scheduling appointments.
• Conduct new patient intake, gathering complete medical, surgical, social, and wound histories.
• Room patients, obtain vitals, and prepare for clinical procedures.
• Assist provider during in-office wound care procedures.
• Maintain clean and organized exam rooms; restock and monitor supplies.
• Support follow-up coordination, referrals, and clinical documentation.

What We’re Looking For

• Education: High school diploma or GED required.
• Certification: MA or CNA certification/licensure (current and in good standing).
• Experience: 1+ year in wound care, dermatology, home health, or related clinical field preferred.
• Other Requirements:
• Valid driver’s license and reliable transportation.
• Current CPR certification.
• Strong communication and patient care skills.
• Ability to multitask and maintain professionalism in both home and clinical settings.

Physical Requirements

• Ability to lift up to 30 lbs and assist with patient positioning.
• Frequent standing, walking, bending, and reaching.
• Comfortable driving between patient homes as part of daily duties.
