Job Overview
Woofie's of East Louisville is a premier luxury pet care service seeking passionate and skilled Pet Groomers to join our Mobile Pet Spa team. The ideal candidate has a love for animals and a strong background in pet care, grooming, and handling. As a Pet Groomer, you will be responsible for providing high-quality grooming services to pets while ensuring their safety and comfort. Your expertise in animal handling and customer service will help create an exceptional experience for both pets and their owners. Part-time initially with the opportunity to grow into a full-time role.

Responsibilities

• Perform grooming services including bathing, brushing, trimming, and nail clipping for various breeds of dogs and other pets.
• Assess the condition of pets' coats and skin to determine appropriate grooming techniques.
• Handle animals safely and comfortably during grooming sessions, utilizing proper restraint techniques when necessary.
• Maintain cleanliness of the grooming area and equipment to ensure a safe environment for pets.
• Communicate effectively with pet owners regarding their pets’ needs, grooming options, and any health concerns observed during grooming.
• Provide excellent customer service to build lasting relationships with clients.
• Maintain Mobile Pet Spa vans by keeping them clean, sanitary, and orderly each day.
• Complete van tasks according to cleaning schedule provided in each van.
• Inspect the van for damage and fill out a vehicle inspection report prior to leaving Woofie’s and upon returning the van to Woofie’s.

Qualifications

• Previous training and experience in pet grooming is required, 2 or more years of experience preferred; supplemental training may be available for the right candidate.
• Strong skills in dog handling and animal restraint techniques are essential.
• Experience in veterinary settings as a veterinary technician or assistant is a plus.
• Familiarity with various dog breeds and their specific grooming needs is advantageous.
• Ability to lift heavy animals safely as needed during grooming sessions.
• Excellent customer service skills to provide a welcoming experience for pet owners.
