Job Summary:
The Oracle DBA will be responsible for the installation, configuration, and maintenance of Oracle databases. This role involves ensuring the security, availability, and performance of databases, as well as supporting development teams with database design and query optimization. The ideal candidate will have extensive experience in Oracle database administration, with a strong understanding of database architecture, performance tuning, and backup and recovery procedures.

Key Responsibilities:

• Install, configure, and upgrade Oracle database software and related products.
• Monitor and maintain database performance, ensuring high levels of data availability and security.
• Perform database tuning and optimization, including monitoring resource utilization and adjusting configurations as needed.
• Plan and execute database backup and recovery strategies, including disaster recovery planning.
• Manage database storage, including adding or resizing data files and monitoring disk space usage.
• Develop and maintain database documentation, including architecture diagrams, configuration settings, and recovery procedures.
• Collaborate with development teams to design, implement, and optimize database schemas, queries, and stored procedures.
• Troubleshoot and resolve database issues, including performance bottlenecks, security vulnerabilities, and data corruption.
• Implement and maintain database security, including user management, roles, and permissions.
• Monitor and manage database replication and data synchronization between environments.
• Participate in on-call rotations to provide 24/7 support for critical database systems.
• Stay current with Oracle database technologies, trends, and best practices.

Qualifications:

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field.
• 5+ years of experience as an Oracle Database Administrator.
• Extensive experience with Oracle 11g/12c/19c databases.
• Strong knowledge of database architecture, backup and recovery, and performance tuning.
• Proficiency in Oracle Real Application Clusters (RAC), Data Guard, and ASM.
• Experience with Oracle Enterprise Manager (OEM) and other monitoring tools.
• Strong SQL and PL/SQL skills, with experience in query optimization.
• Understanding of Unix/Linux operating systems and shell scripting.
• Excellent problem-solving and analytical skills.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team in a fast-paced environment.
• Strong communication skills, with the ability to convey complex technical concepts to non-technical stakeholders.
• Oracle DBA certification (OCP, OCM) is a plus.
