The Person In Charge (PIC) contributes to SAMBAZON’S success by assisting the Café Manager in executing store operations during scheduled shifts. This job assigns employees and delegates tasks so that employees can create and maintain an exceptional experience for our customers. As such the PIC is responsible for modeling and acting in accordance with SAMBAZON’s mission and principles.

Key Responsibilities :

• Acts with integrity, honesty, and knowledge that promote the culture, values and mission of SAMBAZON. Maintains a calm demeanor during periods of high volume or unusual events to keep café operating to standard and to set a positive example for the shift team.
• Anticipates customers and café needs by evaluating the environment and customers for cues. Communicates information to Café Manager so the team can respond as necessary to help to create a welcoming environment.
• Assists with new hire training by positively reinforcing successful performance and giving respectful and encouraging coaching as needed. Provides feedback to the Café Manager on employee performance during the shift.
• Contributes to a positive learning environment by providing clear, specific, timely and respectful coaching and feedback to employees on shift to ensure operational excellence and to improve employee performance.
• Delivers exceptional customer service to all customers by acting with a customer first attitude and engaging with the customer. Recognizes and responds to customers’ needs.
• Develops positive relationships with the team by understanding and addressing individual motivation, needs, and concerns.
• Executes store operations during scheduled shifts. Organizes opening and closing duties as assigned.
• Follows SAMBAZON operational policies and procedures, including those for cash handling and safety and security, to ensure the safety of all employees during each shift.
• Follows all cash management and cash register policies and ensures proper cash management practices are followed by the team.
• Follows up with employees during the shift to ensure delivery of exceptional customer service for all customers.
• Maintains regular and consistent attendance and punctuality.
• Provides high quality food products and beverage consistently for all customers by adhering to all recipe and presentation standards.
• Utilizes operational tools to achieve operational excellence during the shift.
• Other job-related instructions and perform other job-related duties as requested by the management team.

Education & Experience:

• High school diploma is preferred.
• One (1) year experience in a supervisor/manager role is preferred.
