SUMMARY OF POSITION

SOFFA Electric, a well-established systems integration firm with over 50 years of experience, At Soffa, we design and deliver control systems that support essential water and wastewater infrastructure. We are seeking a PLC Programmer that is passionate about programming, troubleshooting, and continuous improvement. Senior-level candidates should also demonstrate the ability to mentor junior staff and help drive best practices across the department.

POSITION RESPONSIBILITIES

• Develop and implement PLC operating applications based on control specifications and Soffa engineering standards
• Create detailed software control descriptions and clear operator instructions, covering both standard and fault conditions
• Provide technical support remotely and on-site for commissioning, troubleshooting, and tuning of control logic
• Conduct customer and operator training sessions; assist sales teams with technical presentations
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams, consulting engineers, and end users to ensure proper control system design and implementation
• Support departmental growth by sharing knowledge, mentoring peers, and contributing to standards development

EDUCATION, CERTIFICATION, SKILLS AND/OR ABILITIES REQUIRED

Experience : 2-5 Years of related experience

Degree : Bachelor's Degree in Engineering, Computer Science or related field

Technical Background : Proficient in programming major PLC bands (e.g., Allan Bradley, Schneider Electric, Siemens, GE).

Abilities : Candidate should have excellent interpersonal skills with the ability to have working relationships. Should possess strong leadership abilities. Exceptional organization skills, communication abilities and proficiency in Microsoft Offic are essential to this position. Must strong verbal and written English communication skills are mandatory.

WORKING CONDITIONS

• General working environment - sitting for long periods, standing, walking, typing, carrying, pushing, bending. Work is primarily conducted indoors with varying environmental conditions such as fluorescent lighting and air conditioning. Occasional visits to SOFFA manufacturing locations, client offices, and jobsites.
• Noise level is typically low to medium in office; it can be loud in the manufacturing area and on jobsites.
