Job Description

We are partnering with a leading middle-market private equity fund specializing in infrastructure investments to hire an Associate for its New York-based team. This fund focuses on investing in sectors such as digital infrastructure, renewables, transportation, and power .

The Associate will collaborate closely with a distinguished leadership team, including professionals with extensive experience in infrastructure and energy sectors. This role offers a unique opportunity to work on high-impact infrastructure transactions.

Key Responsibilities:

• Transaction Execution: Conduct detailed due diligence, financial modeling, and valuation analyses to support investment decisions.
• Market Research: Analyze industry trends, competitive landscapes, and macroeconomic factors impacting the infrastructure sector.
• Deal Structuring: Assist in negotiating terms, structuring transactions, and drafting investment committee materials.
• Portfolio Management: Monitor portfolio company performance and support value creation initiatives in collaboration with senior team members.
• Strategic Contributions: Identify and evaluate new investment opportunities and propose actionable recommendations for the investment pipeline.

Ideal Candidate Profile:

• Background: 2-3 years of pre-MBA experience in investment banking, private equity, infrastructure project development (e.g., Independent Power Producers or developers), or a related field.
• Analytical Skills: Demonstrated proficiency in financial modeling, valuations, and investment analysis.
• Sector Knowledge: Strong understanding of infrastructure sectors, with exposure to areas such as energy, renewables, transportation, utilities, or digital infrastructure.
• Problem Solving: Proven ability to synthesize complex information and offer data-driven insights.
• Communication: Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to clearly articulate investment theses and financial results.
• Teamwork: Collaborative mindset with the ability to work effectively in a fast-paced, dynamic environment.
• Education: Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Economics, Business, or a related field; MBA or advanced degree is a plus but not required.
