LHH is actively seeking a highly experienced Project Manager with deep expertise in Jira Software to support one of our top client’s hardware electrical engineering teams. In this pivotal role, you’ll be responsible for building and managing Jira projects from the ground up—ensuring engineering teams have the structure, tools, and visibility needed to drive success. You’ll serve as the Jira SME and project operations lead, working across engineering, program management, and leadership to track progress, streamline workflows, and improve overall project efficiency.

This is an onsite long term contract role supporting multiple complex hardware initiatives. Medical device industry experience is a strong plus.

Key Responsibilities
  • Build, configure, and maintain Jira Software projects tailored to hardware electrical engineering needs

  • Create and manage custom workflows, dashboards, filters, and reports to enhance transparency and productivity

  • Partner with engineering and cross-functional teams to plan, launch, and track hardware development projects from kickoff to delivery

  • Provide portfolio-level reporting and consolidate project updates for leadership visibility

  • Drive process improvement efforts to optimize the project lifecycle and team collaboration

  • Deliver training and support to ensure project teams follow Jira and collaboration best practices

  • Identify and mitigate project risks; ensure timely delivery against milestones

Required Qualifications
  • 8–14 years of project management experience , with a focus on technical and/or hardware product development

  • Proven, hands-on expertise in Jira Software —including project setup, workflow customization, dashboard/report creation, and tool integrations

  • Experience managing hardware electrical engineering projects

  • Strong communication and organizational skills, with the ability to engage both technical and non-technical stakeholders

  • Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Engineering, Business, Project Management, Computer Science, or related field

  • Comfortable balancing tactical project execution with strategic process development

Preferred Qualifications
  • Experience in the medical device industry or regulated hardware environments

  • PMP, CSM, or other relevant certifications

  • Familiarity with other collaboration tools (e.g., Confluence, MS Project, Smartsheet)
