Renewable Energy Project Manager We are currently seeking a Renewable Energy Project Manager ("RPM") to join our expanding development and construction team, based in either our Los Angeles or Costa Mesa office (hybrid working). This role plays a vital part in continuing our overall strategy to net zero while ensuring we develop high quality renewable solutions.
The ideal candidate should have a strong background in project management within the renewable energy sector, with a particular focus on rooftop solar, battery and EV. The RPM will lead renewable projects from inception to completion with primary responsibility and accountability for budgets, schedules and the general scope of work. The RPM will collaborate closely with the various stakeholders (including construction, design, leasing, investments, asset management and property management) to ensure the successful completion of projects. This position reports to the Director of Capital Projects. Approximately 25% of travel will be required for this role all within Southern California (including to construction sites, corporate offices, vendor locations).

About The Role - Overall responsibility for all stages of renewable, clean energy construction projects.
- Develop and review project schedules, budgets, scopes of work, contracts, standards, bidding and project closeout from EPC vendors.
- Supervise (outside consultants / contractors) project implementation to ensure cost, time, quality, safety and execution guidelines according to schedule.
- Effectively manage the risk of each project relative to the constraints of each property (risks may include financial, tenant, utility, supply chain etc)
- Competent / experienced in contract negotiations.
- Develop work breakdown structures as well as negotiating them with vendors.
- Manage all parties involved (internal and external) and ensure professional project management from system design to completion.
- Actively participating in developing project standards.
- Collaborate with team members when necessary to ensure effective communication and results.
- Track actual costs and assess cost effectiveness of products, projects, or services.
- Communicate with corporate accounting,finance, and asset management to help with accurate internal accounting, corporate budgeting, and financial analysis.
- Perform other duties and special renewable energy projects, as assigned by the Director of Capital Projects.
About You - Experience with construction / project management processes, means, and methods, specific to the renewable energy sector (and preferably relating to industrial assets) in Southern California.
- Bachelor's degree in Construction, Architecture, Engineering, or related field.
- 10+ years of experience in general construction / engineering, with 5+ years of rooftop solar PV project experience in industrial construction projects preferred (in a project management / project development capacity)
- Expertise in BlueBeam, Excel (can maintain complex spreadsheets), Yardi, Smartsheets.
- Demonstrated experience in managing solar projects (inception to completion - operational handoff)
- Ability to manage multiple projects (typically anywhere between 5-20 projects concurrently, all at different stages)
Rexford Industrial's total reward plan includes a premier benefits package, bonus eligibility and long-term stock incentives. The expected annual base salary range for this role is $125,000 to $165,000, with a 20% discretionary annual bonus target and stock grant eligibility.
