Job Description

I am currently partnered up with a company who are building a robotic manipulation platform designed from the ground up for AI based controls.

They are now looking for a talented individual to join their small team of engineers and researchers, who are focused on tackling complex real-world dexterous manipulation tasks. This role will offer you the opportunity to work with innovative algorithms and hardware, pushing the boundaries of what is possible in robotics today. You will be tasked with bringing cutting-edge work from robotics to life by implementing on their very own robot. 

Responsibilities

  • Engineering on Robot: Implement, debug and evaluate existing robotics algorithms (e.g. from research paper) on their robot hand platform.
  • Collaboration: Collaborate with cross-functiol teams (e.g., engineers, software developers, research scientists, designers, business developers, etc) to develop their robot platform for products and services.
  • Mentorship: Provide guidance and mentorship to team members and interns.
  • Other tasks: Willing to take up other tasks in the startup as needed

Qualifications:

  • Understanding of robotics algorithms and how to use them (e.g. forward kinematics).
  • Experience with implementing algorithms in simulations and then applying them in hardware.
  • Proficient skills in writing software, especially in C++ and Python.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
  • Strong communication and interpersol skills.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Experience with optimal control and model predictive control.
  • Ability to implement machine learning algorithms.
