Fosters adoption of Agile technical practices. Supports team rules – Agile Team rules are lightweight; the Scrum Master is responsible for reinforcing them. Assists PO in preparing and refining backlog for PI and Iteration Planning. Works with RTE/TDM to ensure the train meets overall PI Objectives/Planning. Coordinates with Scrum Masters, System Team, and Shared Services in the ART PI Planning events. Works with the teams throughout each Iteration and PI. Participates in the scrum of scrums. Builds a high-performing team. Facilitates the team's progress toward goals – The Scrum Master is the team facilitator and continuously engaged in challenging the old norms of development to improve performance in the areas of quality, predictability, flow, and velocity. Helps the team focus on creating increments of value each iteration. Leads team efforts in relentless improvement and takes responsibility for their actions; facilitates the team retrospective. Teaches problem-solving techniques and helps the team become better problem-solvers for themselves. Fosters normalized estimating within the team. Removes impediments to the team's progress. Ensures the team is following best practices like DOD and feedback completion within the Sprint timeline. Revisits the team Quality Metrics mid and at Sprint end.
