Your Role As a Selling Assistant for Fine Apparel, you will work closely with an Personal Shopper in Fine Apparel to deliver exceptional customer service and elevate the Bergdorf Goodman shopping experience.

  • Assist the Personal Stylist in preparing and executing personalized selling appointments for clients, ensuring an exceptional shopping experience.
  • Assist with Social Media and Digital Selling : Support in curating content and maintaining the brand's online presence, staying updated on trends and customer engagement.
  • Process transactions at the POS efficiently and accurately, maintaining a high level of professionalism and customer satisfaction.
  • Client Follow-up : Complete post-appointment tasks, including tracking orders, handling alterations, sending thank-you notes, and maintaining client relationships.
  • Appointment Scheduling : Organize and coordinate appointments for clients, ensuring smooth logistics and time management.
  • Manage Clientele Information : Enter and maintain accurate and detailed client data, ensuring proper communication and follow-up.
  • Organize Gifting Initiatives : Assist in organizing special gifting initiatives and exclusive experiences for top clients, contributing to customer loyalty.
What You Bring
  • Experience and Skills :
    • Client-First Mindset
    • Understanding and Strong Proficiency in Social Media Management
    • Previous sales or retail experience, especially in fashion, is a plus.
    • Proficient in CRM systems, Microsoft Excel, Teams, and SharePoint.
    • Strong organizational skills and ability to multitask.
    • Agility, Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written, with a focus on customer service.
    • Ability to work independently and as part of a team, with a positive attitude.
Additional Qualifications :
  • Experience in a fast-paced environment where attention to detail and flexibility are key.
  • Previous experience with styling, fashion, or fashion retail is highly valued.
  • High School Diploma or equivalent required; additional certifications in fashion or retail a plus.
  • Willingness to work a flexible schedule including evenings, weekends, and holidays, based on business needs.
