What you’ll do: Responsible for interfacing directly with end-users and vendors to assess, recommend, design, implement, and support network solutions. Assists in and manages the development and maintenance of network design standards. Assists in evaluating and recommendations of new technologies as they relate to the businesses network strategy. Provides technical leadership and guidance to less experienced team members. Continually enhances departmental knowledge and skills. Responsibilities: If local to the Nashville area this position would be potentially hybrid with periodic needs for smart hands in our Corporate offices and our Franklin, TN data center. Actively participates in network troubleshooting & support. Assists with support and escalations through our NOC, works with lower caliber staff to enhance skills and capabilities. Integrates and schematically depicts network architectures, topologies, and traffic flow. Supports department staff in the analysis, solution, and documentation of network issues and problems. Analyzes and resolves errors escalated by less experienced team members. Develops, communicates, implements, and maintains network policies, standards, and procedures, including updating and maintaining the knowledge base. Solicits feedback and provides input on department best practices and actively seeks out opportunities for improvement by following industry practices. Continually enhances understanding of the company's IT infrastructure and network topology, contributing to improved operations and personal expertise. Coaches, mentors, and provides feedback to less experienced team members regarding departmental procedures, policies, and standards that pertain to the Network teams. Performs other duties as assigned. What you’ll need: Education: Bachelors degree in Engineering, Mathematics, Computer Science or equivalent technical experience. Licenses/Certification: CCNP, Network or other intermediate to advanced level industry recognized certifications. Previous / expired certifications acceptable. Azure and/or GCP certifications preferred. Experience: Minimum of 4 - 7 years’ experience as a Network Engineer in a large-scale internetwork environment with proven complex network design experience and troubleshooting. Additional experience with Viptela SDWan, Fortinet, and Meraki preferred.
