Job Description
Farmers Equipment Company is a full-service agricultural, material handling and construction equipment dealer with locations in both Lynden and Burlington. We currently have an opening for a Material Handling Service Technician II (forklift mechanic) to work out of our Burlington Store serving customers at their locations throughout Whatcom County.
Primary responsibilities:
• Service, repair and perform preventive maintenance on material handling equipment to OEM specifications at customer locations
• Represent FEC in a professional manner while serving internal and external customers
• Accurately detail repairs done on Work Orders
• Troubleshoot and diagnose problems with equipment, research parts and repairs needed to successfully resolve issues leading to a positive outcome
• Ability to meet Standard Repair Times for assigned work
• Meet company goal for Collectable Efficiency
• Assist lower-level technicians in completing diagnostics and repairs
• Dependability and good housekeeping skills
Requirements:
• 3-5 years directly applicable experience (automotive tech, lube tech, heavy equipment tech, etc.)
• Strong mechanical aptitude and detail orientation
• Competency in computer-based troubleshooting
• Ability to perform work in a safe and professional manner, both autonomously and as part of a team
• Outstanding customer service skills
• Excellent organizational and communication skills
• Clear driving record with valid Driver’s License
• Proven dependability and good housekeeping skills
Job is located in Burlington, WA.
Compensation details: 30-34 Hourly Wage
