Job Description
We are looking for an experienced and bilingual Tax CPA Manager to join our team and lead our tax department. In this role, you will manage a team of tax professionals, oversee tax filings, and collaborate with various departments to ensure compliance and develop strategic tax solutions. Fluency in both English and Spanish is essential, along with strong leadership and communication skills to foster a supportive and efficient team environment.
Key Responsibilities:
- Lead and manage a team of four tax preparers and strategists, ensuring accurate and timely tax preparation and compliance.
- Work closely with the CPA owner to manage tax filings, ensuring full compliance with U.S. and Puerto Rico tax regulations.
- Communicate effectively with clients, offering clear explanations of tax strategies and assisting with any questions or concerns.
- Collaborate with the sales team to create customized service contracts and tax strategies for clients.
- Prepare and deliver detailed reports to assess team performance, identify areas for improvement, and ensure alignment with company goals.
- Conduct regular performance reviews for tax team members, fostering motivation and growth.
- Partner with the Customer Success Manager to address tax notices and provide timely responses to client inquiries.
- Collaborate with the Accounting Manager to review financial data for tax preparations, making necessary updates as needed.
- Work with the CEO to develop innovative strategies aimed at reducing tax liabilities and improving client planning.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field; CPA license required.
- At least 5 years of experience in tax preparation and management within an accounting firm.
- Fluency in both English and Spanish is a must.
- Proven experience in leading teams and managing tax preparation processes.
- Strong knowledge of U.S. and Puerto Rico tax regulations and compliance requirements.
- Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written, with the ability to simplify complex tax concepts for clients.
- A collaborative approach, with the ability to work effectively across different teams.
- Proficiency in tax software and Microsoft Office Suite.
Work Environment:
- This is a remote position with a standard work schedule from 8:00 AM to 5:00 PM Eastern Time.
