RVWC is the mid-Atlantic importer and representative of these and so many other fine wines and beers throughout DMV. We are looking for an experienced sales consultant in the Tidewater area to manage a lucrative and well-established territory. 

Roanoke Valley Wine Company is a family-owned East Coast company, established in 1994, that is supportive of its employees and passionate about its fine wine and beer portfolio. We are continuing to grow the business in the Tidewater VA market and are looking for eager, positive and methodical sales consultants who want the opportunity to have fun, make money and grow with our company.

Responsibilities include, but not limited to:

- Develop and sustain strong relationships with buyers to increase sales and capture new business

- Establish and maintain a regular and predictable schedule of calling on both on-premise and off-premise customers, to include in-person sales calls, but also a robust email and text message campaign

- Develop a keen knowledge of a rather broad based portfolio of wines and beers from all over the world

- Increase wine knowledge through meeting with suppliers/winemakers

- Educate and increase sales with customers through superior knowledge of our portfolio, high quality presentations, consistent and excellent customer service

- Conduct events when needed

- Support supplier market visits, events and promotions

The ideal candidate will have:

- A minimum of two years industry related experience and passion for wine

- Enthusiasm for and knowledge of wine and beer

- Excellent organizational and time management skills

- Tenacious, goal oriented, focused, and assertive nature

- Ability to work seamlessly with an excellent sales, customer service and delivery team

This is a full-time, commissioned position with a generous benefits package, including time off for holidays and unlimited flex-time, healthcare and disability coverage and much more. This position is for an existing sales territory.

Job Type: Full-time - Benefitted

Pay: $60,000 - $90,000 in Commission, based on existing Territory Sales, with significant growth opportunity.
