JOB DESCRIPTION:

We are looking for a Trade & Production Support Associate to join us on this journey. This team member reports directly to the Trading Supervisor and supports both the trading and production team in daily operational tasks. The current role is split with about 30% of time dedicated to production support, and 70% supporting trading activities.

The ideal candidate for the Trade & Production Support Associate is a driven and proactive individual. They will help streamline daily operations to ensure efficiencies and adherence to budget while maintaining an exemplary level of client satisfaction. The Trade & Production Support Associate needs to be comfortable communicating with internal and external stakeholders, adept at estimating and managing time for a variety of tasks, and able to improvise as needed to solve problems. The ideal team member is a natural coordinator who has a strong sense of big-picture objectives and a sharp eye for detail.

This role is entry-level and expected to progress into a junior trading position as company specific skills are learned.

JOB RESPONSIBILITIES:

• Effectively utilize CRM (Salesforce) and project management tools to provide data and reporting to trading staff
• Assist manufacturing technicians in coordinating production schedules with trading and logistics teams
• On-site support in the processing finished goods
• Greet walk-in customers promptly and courteously, ensuring their orders are processed accurately and efficiently
• Coordinate and track new client onboarding, including processing their AML, background checks, and document collection
• Communicate with Treasury and Finance to ensure credit memos, cash receipts, and vendor payables are handled as indicated by traders
• Answer support related phone calls
• Manage Trading Support group inbox
• Collection of past due contract receivables
• Ownership of banking instruction verification process
• Contact point for payables questions from suppliers and clients
• Review supplier invoices for accuracy and present cost savings opportunities to department heads
• Management of paper checks, receipts and issuance (electronic payments are handled by Treasury/Finance team)
• Assist with internal and external audits by providing necessary documentation and support
• Perform other related duties and projects as assigned by the Sr. Traders and Managing Partners

JOB REQUIREMENTS:

• Associate degree in finance or accounting or 5+ years of successful industry experience
• Experience in commodity trading or precious metals is ideal
• Ability to identify potential issues and proactively problem solve
• This person should be a self-starter, comfortable working in a startup as an individual and rolling up their sleeves, as well as capable of building a functional area and team over time.
• This person must bring positive energy, be a team player, motivated by the overall success of the company and not just individual accomplishments or recognition.
• Ability to lift 40lbs
• Excellent verbal, written, and listening communication skills are essential to success
