Job Description

At Compass, our mission is to help everyone find their place in the world. Founded in 2012, we’re revolutionizing the real estate industry with our end-to-end platform that empowers residential real estate agents to deliver exceptional service to seller and buyer clients. As a Transaction Coordinator, you will work on a team that oversees all compliance and administrative details throughout the listings and transaction process. The support our Transaction Coordinators provide allows our Agents to focus on building client relationships and advancing their businesses. Our team provides full-service support and acts as the central point of contact for all relevant stakeholders and ensures a smooth path to closing. From document preparation to deadline tracking to regular updates to all parties to a transaction, your goal is to make life easier for agents and clients every step of the way. You will also work hand in hand with local lenders, attorneys, and title companies, bringing extensive experience and strong industry contacts to each and every contract you process. *This position is required to work out of one of the following Compass offices located in San Francisco (Beach Street), East Bay (Danville), or Mid-Peninsula (Menlo Park) one day, every other week, and expected to visit other Northern California offices occasionally for special events if needed. At Compass You Will: Handle document tracking for a large volume of real estate transactions from listing to close, and/or contract to close, ensuring compliance with brokerage and legal requirements. Ensure real estate contracts are processed properly and in a timely manner, with a focus on the details. Manage and track contract deadlines to ensure all timelines are met. Navigate company systems to validate accuracy of compliance and commission records. Provide support to agents in response to inquiries regarding commission payouts, deductions, and commission calculations. Collaborate with sales managers and other support teams to offer outstanding support to the agents. What We Are Looking For: 2+ years of experience in a real estate transaction-processing function, coordination, accounting, or payroll function preferred. Familiarity with standard real estate forms used in California: CAR, PRDS, SFAR, including local area disclosures. Strong written, quantitative, verbal, and presentation skills. Ability to digest detailed contracts and make informed decisions based on content. Ability to maintain strict confidentiality of agent’s contract data. Work independently and collaboratively in a team environment. Customer service-oriented personality. Impeccable attention to detail and problem-solving skills. B.A. or B.S. degree preferred. Compensation: The base pay range for this position is $30.00-$32.50 hourly; however, base pay offered may vary depending on job-related knowledge, skills, and experience. Bonuses and restricted stock units may be provided as part of the compensation package, in addition to a full range of benefits. Base pay is based on market location. Minimum wage for the position will always be met. Perks that You Need to Know About: Participation in our incentive programs (which may include eligible cash, equity, or commissions). Plus paid vacation, holidays, sick time, parental leave, and recharge leave; medical, tele-health, dental and vision benefits; 401(k) plan; flexible spending accounts (FSAs); commuter program; life and disability insurance; Maven (a support system for new parents); Carrot (fertility benefits); UrbanSitter (caregiver referral network); Employee Assistance Program; and pet insurance. Do your best work, be your authentic self. At Compass, we believe that everyone deserves to find their place in the world — a place where they feel like they belong, where they can be their authentic selves, where they can thrive. Our collaborative, energetic culture is grounded in our Compass Entrepreneurship Principles and our commitment to diversity, equity, inclusion, growth and mobility.
