\n\nJob Description\n

The TAVR Nurse Navigator works in both administrative and clinical capacities, collaborating with physicians, clinical staff, patients, their families, insurance companies, and vendors. This role is pivotal in planning, evaluating, and coordinating care for Structural Heart patients across the entire continuum of care.

\n\nResponsibilities\n
    \n
  • Oversee pre-procedural and post-procedural care in outpatient and inpatient settings.
  • \n
  • Ensure effective communication with all parties involved in patient care.
  • \n
  • Coordinate clinical interdisciplinary teams for pre-procedural evaluations prior to heart valve surgery.
  • \n
  • Participate in multidisciplinary meetings to provide professional presentations and communications.
  • \n
  • Manage Pre-Admission Testing for TAVR patients and those undergoing open-heart surgery.
  • \n
  • Abstract and submit clinical data on TAVR patients to the National Cardiovascular Data Registry (NCDR).
  • \n
  • Review previous TAVR cases to identify potential candidates for additional valve procedures.
  • \n
  • Facilitate a multidisciplinary group aimed at achieving American College of Cardiology (ACC) Certification.
  • \n
  • Support long-term goals including the development of a dedicated Valve Clinic.
  • \n
  • Serve as a liaison to resolve diagnostic testing issues.
  • \n
  • Educate and mentor new Cardiac Research Assistants.
  • \n
\n\nRequired Experience / Certifications / Licensure\n
    \n
  • ACLS/BLS certification required.
  • \n
  • 1 year of relevant clinical experience preferred.
  • \n
  • Active New Jersey or Compact nursing license required at the time of submission.
