Job Description

The Guest Service Associate/Valet is responsible for providing exceptional hospitality services to guests in an attentive, friendly and efficient manner. The Guest Service Associate is responsible for parking and retrieving guest vehicles in a prompt yet safe manner and assisting guests with luggage, including delivery and pick up of guest luggage (where applicable) during arrival and departure. Essential functions include maintaining a pleasant, friendly and professional demeanor with guests and coworkers, greeting guests, using proper phone etiquette, parking and retrieving vehicles cautiously, assisting guests with bell services and luggage, providing directions and information about the facility and local attractions, explaining parking rates and retrieval procedures, issuing claim checks, maintaining ticket information, and calculating and collecting revenue when needed. The role requires a high school diploma or GED, a valid driver’s license with a clean driving record, being at least 18 years old, passing a criminal background and drug screen, and one month of related experience or equivalent education and experience. Skills needed include reading and writing English, basic math, understanding time systems and rates, and the ability to operate a manual transmission is highly desirable. Physical demands include the ability to exert up to 100 pounds of force occasionally and work outdoors in various weather conditions. Travel up to 5% may be required.
