Job Title: Shift Welder Fabricator

Job Description

Join our team as a Welder Fabricator, where you'll play a crucial role in welding and fabricating steel staircases, railings, and other structural components. This position is perfect for someone who thrives in a fast-paced environment and enjoys working with their hands to create high-quality steel products.

Responsibilities

• Weld and fabricate steel staircases, railings, and structural components.
• Grind and perform repair welds on finished handrails using a hand grinder and polisher.
• Utilize welding equipment to create precise and durable welds.
• Move and load products after shipment completion.
• Handle materials such as steel, stainless steel, and occasionally aluminum.
• Read and interpret construction blueprints to ensure accurate grinding and welding.

Essential Skills

• Minimum of 2 years experience in grinding and polishing.
• Proficiency in MIG welding and steel fabrication.
• Ability to read and interpret construction blueprints.

Additional Skills & Qualifications

• Experience with TIG welding.
• Familiarity with structural steel and fixtures.

Work Environment

Work in a fast-paced and dynamic environment where everyone is expected to stay on task to meet shipment deadlines. The team is tight-knit and supportive, with a focus on accountability and high-quality work. Totaling 45-55 hours per week. Training will be conducted on the 1st shift from 6:00 am to 4:00 pm.

This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Grand Rapids, MI.

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $20.00 - $24.00/hr.
