Position Specific Description We are currently seeking a qualified individual for the position of Production Technician. This is an operations and maintenance position that requires shift work. 12 hour rotating shifts 0600 to 1800, and 1800 to 0600. The selected candidate for this position will be responsible for operating a combined cycle power plant in Orlando, Florida and a simple cycle power plant in Cocoa, Florida. Other duties will include maintaining and repairing electrical and mechanical equipment.
- Two years power plant operations or industrial electrical experience.
- Combined cycle operations experience is highly desirable.
- Experience with a computer maintenance management system (like Maximo) is desirable.
- Experience with GE MK and Emerson Ovation control systems desirable.
- Electrical maintenance and troubleshooting experience desirable.
Job Overview Employees in this position perform power plant operations as well as maintenance on station equipment.
Job Duties & Responsibilities Under general supervision:
- Repairs and calibrates equipment
- Monitors equipment performance through testing
- Applies general electrical, mechanical, or I and C skills
- Performs other job-related duties as assigned
Required Qualifications - High School Grad / GED
- Experience: 2+ years
- Valid Driver's License (NON-CDL)
