Have you ever wanted to be part of a team building industry-changing technology? Project Kuiper is launching a constellation of Low Earth Orbit satellites to provide low-latency, high-speed broadband connectivity to unserved and underserved communities worldwide.

Amazon seeks a HRP Manager to lead the HR support function for Project Kuiper's Production Operations organization. As a key member of the HRP4 People eXperience and Technology (PXT) team, you will oversee HR professionals providing strategic and hands-on support while restructuring HR functions, processes, and systems to improve efficiency, effectiveness, and consistency. Your work will enhance manager capabilities and maintain exceptional employee experience.

You will actively support Production Operations Corporate teams including Supply Chain, Ground Infrastructure Services, Software, Kuiper Enterprise Tech, and Global Trade as your primary client group. This requires balancing team leadership while personally handling HR needs for these critical functions.

In this role, you will need to create innovative approaches and mechanisms to lead and cultivate HRP talent across both day and night shift. The role requires regular travel to production sites to support your team members, understand evolving business challenges, and maintain strong relationships with operational leadership.

Key job responsibilities

  • Develop Team Capabilities: Lead and develop a team of HR professionals supporting Production Operations through coaching and hands-on learning experiences that build deep expertise in core HR processes while advancing individual careers and team capabilities.

  • Build Operating Models & Strategic Plans: Establish strategic partnerships with senior leaders, Line HR, and ER/LR teams to develop and implement ER/LR strategies and organizational development frameworks that align HR initiatives with business objectives and achieve quality, convenience, and scalability.

  • Experiment & Deliver Results: Research industry best practices (process excellence, products and services) that have tangible benefit to ProdOps managers.

  • Operational Excellence: Take end-to-end ownership of complex workplace investigations, change management strategies, and process improvements by diving deep into problems to identify root causes and implement sustainable solutions that ensure high-quality resolution and successful adoption.

  • Measure & Inspect: Direct the implementation of employee listening mechanisms and establish culture and talent goals with executive leadership and Line HR, developing clear success metrics and inspection mechanisms that drive cross-functional understanding of business impact and create accountability for progress.

  • Innovate & Build: Identify opportunities to address service gaps and process inefficiencies within Prod. Operations, leading the transformation of HR structures, processes, and systems while developing business cases for new value-added services that enhance the employee and manager experience.

Basic Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in Human Resources, Human Resources Management, Labor Relations, Business/Management, Psychology, or a related field

  • 7+ years of relevant Human Resources Generalist experience

  • 2+ years management experience implementing processes and delivering core HR solutions in large-scale and complex environments

  • Export Control Requirement: Due to applicable export control laws and regulations, candidates must be a U.S. citizen or national, U.S. permanent resident (i.e., current Green Card holder), or lawfully admitted into the U.S. as a refugee or granted asylum.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Master's degree in Human Resources, Human Resources Management, Labor Relations, Business/Management, Psychology, or a related field

  • Experience influencing at all levels within an organization, particularly at the executive level, while protecting confidential and sensitive HR information

  • Experience conducting workplace risk investigations and managing multiple high-priority assignments in fast-paced environments

  • Experience partnering with high-performance teams to drive innovative solutions in dynamic business environments

  • Successful record of building and improving operational processes and procedures

  • Strong business and HR acumen, including strong problem-solving skills, critical thinking and analysis, experience consulting on complex performance management cases

Our compensation reflects the cost of labor across several US geographic markets. The base pay for this position ranges from $128,700/year in our lowest geographic market up to $212,800/year in our highest geographic market. Pay is based on a number of factors including market location and may vary depending on job-related knowledge, skills, and experience. Amazon is a total compensation company.
