Summary of Responsibilities: This position will be responsible for prepping parts for paint, repairing any imperfections and painting parts prior to shipment.  

Specific Duties:  

• File, grind, sand, and smooth filled or repaired surfaces, using power tools and hand tools 
• Inspect repaired vehicles for proper functioning, completion of work, dimensional accuracy, and overall appearance of paint job, and test-drive vehicles to ensure proper alignment and handling 
• Fit and weld replacement parts into place, using wrenches and welding equipment, and grind down welds to smooth them, using power grinders and other tools 
• Prime and paint repaired surfaces, using HVLP paint spray guns and motorized sanders 
• Follow supervisors' instructions as to which parts to restore or replace and how much time the job should take 
• Observes all safety rules and regulations and keeps work area clean and orderly 
• Understanding of required PPE (how to select and why it is required)  
• Exhibit proper donning of PPE daily 
• Report safety hazards to supervision/mgt. 
• Attend monthly all shop meetings

• Ability to follow instructions provided by supervisor  
• Knowledge of machines and tools, including their designs, uses, repair, and maintenance. 
• Knowledge of raw materials, production processes, quality control, costs, and other techniques for maximizing the effective manufacture and distribution of goods. 
• The ability to imagine how something will look after it is moved around or when its parts are moved or rearranged. 
• The ability to arrange things or actions in a certain order or pattern according to a specific rule or set of rules (e.g., patterns of numbers, letters, words, pictures, mathematical operations). 
  

Physical Requirements:  

• The ability to respond quickly to sounds 
• The ability to keep your hand and arm steady while moving your arm or while holding your arm and hand in one position. 
• The ability to quickly move your hand, your hand together with your arm, or your two hands to grasp, manipulate, or assemble objects. 
• The ability to make precisely coordinated movements of the fingers of one or both hands to grasp, manipulate, or assemble very small objects. 
• The ability to see and respond to dangerous situation 
• The ability to wear personal protective gear correctly 
• The ability to stand continuously throughout the duration of the shift 
• The ability to lift 70lbs
