The candidate must have the ability to obtain a Commercial Driver's License (CDL). The candidate will communicate within and outside of their function to ensure the smooth transportation and management of inventory. Essential Functions: * Operates vehicle according to applicable state and federal transportation laws * Transports loads safely and in a timely manner over required route, obeying all traffic laws and observing all safety regulations * Deftly maneuvers truck and trailer into loading and unloading areas; follows loading crew signals * Assists with loading/unloading of goods and materials, using specialized equipment when warranted; unloads empty skids and returns all equipment to designated area * Maintains signed invoices, shipping bills of lading, and other required paperwork in SHIP! database; delivers documentation to PHS&T task lead or other appropriate staff when delivery route is complete * Reports maintenance malfunctions in a timely manner * Arrange trailers in shipping yards for optimum loading patterns * Uses Microsoft Office to create and submit travel plans * Performs other shipping, transportation, and receiving related duties as assigned * Must be able to sit for prolonged periods in a vehicle/trailer cab * Must pass background and drug testing as required by federal and/or state DOT regulations * Must pass DOT physical * Must be able to lift and move up to 40 pounds at a time * Must be able to travel frequently * Must be able to obtain a commercial drivers license up to a Commercial Driver's License Qualifications: * Requires a High School Diploma or equivalent and a minimum of 6 years of prior relevant experience or 2 years post-Secondary/associate's degree with a minimum of 2 years of prior related experience * Active TS/SCI with CI Poly required * Class A (CDL A) and HAZMAT certification Preferred Additional Skills: * Strong interpersonal and customer service skills with the ability to speak professionally and courteously with customers and staff at delivery points * Must have strong computer skills (Microsoft Office, shipping database) * Ability to remain focused in a busy environment LI-KT1 L3Harris Technologies is proud to be an Equal Opportunity Employer.
